Bassingham Care Centre

Bassingham Care Centre provides personal and nursing care for up to 60 older people, including those living with dementia. At the time of the assessment, 40 people were living at the home. The CQC rated the service Good overall, prompted by concerns raised about quality that inspectors then looked into closely.

Inspectors found staff kind, knowledgeable and attentive, with people and relatives feeling safe and well looked after. However, gaps were found in risk management, environmental safety, care plan quality and relative involvement in care planning. Governance systems needed strengthening, though the provider was open, engaged and already acting on the improvements identified.
