Bannister Farm Cottage provides personal care to four younger adults living with learning disabilities or mental health conditions, with capacity for up to five residents. The home offers self-contained flats alongside communal spaces and a garden. The registered manager maintains regular environmental checks and multiple control measures to ensure safe care.
Staff follow current infection control guidance, and staffing levels are sufficient to meet people's needs promptly.
Relatives praised the management team's positive impact on residents' welfare, noting a significant reduction in incidents. One relative commented, "There's been a real drop in the number of incidents and that's because they are much more aware of my relative and how best to care for him. " The team works to preserve people's individuality and human rights.
During visiting restrictions, staff creatively maintained family contact—one relative recalled, "When I wasn't allowed to visit they suggested I keep that contact going by reading bedtime stories every night.
