Banksfield Nursing Home

This nursing home provides personal and nursing care for up to 42 people aged 65 and over, currently supporting 27 residents. The service operates dementia care on the ground floor and nursing care on the upper floor.

Safeguarding processes are in place to protect people from abuse, with staff receiving training and understanding the procedures to follow. Staff have been recruited safely, and the manager ensures adequate staffing levels throughout the day and night based on assessed needs.

However, the home had not addressed all issues from the previous inspection. Systems for managing and overseeing medicines were found to be unsafe, placing residents at risk of harm.
