About Askham Hall

Askham Hall is a nursing home in Cambridgeshire, providing care for older people, including those living with dementia. Further details from the CQC's most recent assessment are set out below.

Askham Hall is a care home providing accommodation, nursing and personal care for up to 27 older people, including those living with dementia. The CQC's assessment, prompted by concerns raised about the service, focused on safety, and found the home to be Good overall. Inspectors found robust systems for reporting and learning from incidents and safeguarding concerns, along with safe recruitment practices and appropriate staff training.

People living at the home said they felt safe and well cared for, describing staff as kind and attentive. Some residents noted difficulty understanding staff whose first language was not English, though the manager was addressing this by mixing staff on shifts. Residents and relatives felt confident raising concerns, and these were dealt with appropriately.
