Althorpe Residential Home

Althorpe Residential Home provides care and support for up to 20 older people, some living with dementia. At the time of the assessment 13 people were living at the home. The CQC found that risks relating to the premises, care planning and management oversight had not always been properly monitored or acted upon, and quality assurance systems were not robust enough to keep people consistently safe.

Despite these shortfalls, people and their relatives spoke positively about the care they received, describing staff as kind and attentive. Inspectors noted that the registered manager and provider responded constructively to concerns raised, taking steps to address issues during the assessment.
