Alphonsus House

Alphonsus House provides personal care for up to 19 younger adults with learning disabilities or sensory impairments across four separate properties: three houses and a bungalow. At the time of inspection, 19 people were living at the service and receiving planned, person-centred support designed to enable them to live meaningful lives with control, choice, and independence.

People told inspectors they felt safe, and observations confirmed they were comfortable with staff. Staff understood how to identify and report safety concerns, and risks were properly assessed and managed with behaviour support plans in place. Medicines were administered as prescribed and staff had been safely recruited. People, their relatives, and staff all felt the service was well managed.
