Aldyn Care Home

Aldyn Care Home provides residential care, rehabilitation and support for up to 12 people with mental health needs. The service occupies two adjoined properties with communal lounges, bathrooms and a kitchen. At inspection, 10 people were living there.

Staffing levels were adequate to meet residents' needs, and medicines were managed safely. Risks to people were properly identified, assessed and reduced, with staff demonstrating a positive approach to risk management. The home maintained clean and hygienic standards throughout.

However, recruitment procedures were not always robust enough to ensure staff were of good character before starting work, which was identified as an area requiring improvement.
