Abbeywell Court

Abbeywell Court is a care home in an adapted building over two floors, providing personal and nursing care to up to 45 people, including those with nursing needs. The CQC rated the service Good overall, following an earlier assessment prompted by concerns about falls management, distressed behaviours, eating and drinking support and infection control.

Inspectors found the provider had made improvements and was no longer in breach of regulations, with risks properly managed, care plans kept up to date, and medicines handled safely. People described staff as kind and attentive, and felt safe in a clean environment. However, the CQC found more work was needed on personalised and group activities, and some people felt they were not always asked how the home could improve.
