Abbeyfield Winnersh is a residential care home providing personal care to up to 62 older people living with dementia. The CQC found the service performing well overall and rated it Good. Inspectors saw no evidence to support concerns raised about governance and safety before the assessment.

Care plans were clear and personalised, staff understood people's needs and responded to changes appropriately, and medicines were managed safely. Leadership was strong, with regular staff support and effective audits. People and relatives described staff as kind and caring, and felt safe and well looked after.

Some capacity assessments needed more detail, which the manager agreed to review.
