4 Cottage Walk

Cottage Walk is a residential care home providing personal care and support for up to six people with a learning disability or autistic people. At the time of inspection, five people were using the service. The staff team supported people to have choice, control and independence, focusing on their strengths and what they could do. Management and staff worked with people to identify their goals and supported them towards achieving these. The service provided care in a safe, clean, well-equipped and well-maintained environment that met people's sensory and physical needs. Staff supported people to take part in activities and pursue their interests in their local area. The manager and staff team worked with people to plan for periods of distress, ensuring freedoms were restricted only when there was no alternative, and supporting people in the least restrictive way possible.
