Wolfe House Care Home, in Surrey, provides care without nursing for up to 16 older people, some living with dementia or a learning disability. The CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall, identifying breaches relating to infection control, person-centred care and governance. Inspectors found areas of the home were not cleaned to a hygienic standard, with malodours present, and that activities and support to occupy people's time were not well monitored or supported by adequate staff training.

Elsewhere, inspectors found people were treated with kindness and dignity, medicines were managed safely, and staff were recruited and trained appropriately. Care plans were personalised, and people were supported to see health professionals promptly. The registered manager was described as open and committed to improvement, and had submitted an action plan to address the shortfalls found.
