Whincup Care Limited

This service provides accommodation and personal care for up to six adults with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders. At the time of inspection, four people used the service with one transitioning to community living. The provider had made significant improvements since the previous inspection, with enhanced systems for medicine management and improved reporting of safety incidents. Staff received appropriate training and support to carry out their roles effectively, and people were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives in the least restrictive way possible. The registered manager took immediate action to address gaps in mental capacity assessments during the inspection to ensure they fully conformed with the mental capacity code of practice. Overall, outcomes for people reflected principles of choice, control, independence and inclusion.
