Wellington Park Nursing Home

Wellington Park Nursing Home provides nursing and personal care to older people, some living with dementia, with 25 people living there at the time of assessment. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, identifying breaches relating to safety, staffing and governance. Inspectors found issues with the physical environment, fire safety and equipment, along with gaps in staff training and weak quality assurance systems, though no one had been harmed.

Despite this, inspectors found good care in many areas. Staff knew people well, medicines were managed safely, and care was tailored to individual needs. People and relatives spoke positively, describing a kind, respectful staff team and a calm, friendly atmosphere within the home.
