Thorne House

Thorne House supports up to 18 people with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorder. Although the home is larger than typical domestic properties and current best practice guidance recommends, the service works hard to mitigate potential negative impacts through its strong commitment to promoting residents' choice, control, and independence. At the time of inspection, 17 people were living at the home. The staff demonstrate a clear focus on ensuring that care outcomes reflect principles centered on supporting people's autonomy and wellbeing.
