Could the NHS fund The Orchard's fees?
NHS Continuing Healthcare could cover 100% of care costs with no means test.
The Orchard provides care for up to ten people with a learning disability in a large detached building on a village-style development. At the time of inspection, eight people were living in the home. The service employs sufficient qualified and trained staff to meet people's needs safely, with robust recruitment processes ensuring staff are of good character. Staff demonstrate clear understanding of safeguarding procedures and know how to recognise and report concerns about people's care and welfare to protect them from abuse.
