The Old Vicarage

The Old Vicarage provides personal care for up to 28 older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 24 people were using the service. Relatives spoke positively about the care, with comments including "They are really nice. [Relative] likes fun and carry on and they do have fun with her. She says they are lovely" and "We have the reassurance that she is being looked after well." The home has systems in place to assess, monitor and manage risk, though not all environmental risks had been fully assessed at the time of inspection. Following the inspection, the registered manager took immediate action to address identified environmental issues. Sufficient staff are deployed to meet people's needs, with rotas adjusted seasonally. During summer months, staff start work at 7am to accommodate residents who prefer to rise earlier when mornings are lighter.
