The Old Vicarage

The Old Vicarage is a residential care home in Milton Keynes providing accommodation and personal care for up to 28 people, including those requiring support with daily living. The CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall, having found that risk assessments and care records did not always contain enough detail or mitigation to keep people safe, and the provider was in breach of related legal regulations. The provider has since submitted evidence of improvements underway.

Inspectors found staff were kind, respectful and sought consent before providing care, with medicines managed appropriately and good access to healthcare. Feedback was mixed: some relatives praised staff and management, while others raised concerns about falls, staffing levels at busy times, food quality and emotional wellbeing.
