The Beeches

The Beeches is a care home without nursing for up to 54 older people, some of whom live with dementia or have learning disabilities or autism. The CQC rated the home Good overall, an improvement on its previous Requires Improvement rating, with the earlier breaches around safe care and person-centred care now resolved.

Inspectors found a safe, clean environment, safe medicines management and well-trained staff who knew how to safeguard people. Residents and relatives described staff as kind, consistent and respectful. Minor issues were found, including incorrectly set pressure mattresses and one person's monitoring not fully following their care plan, both promptly addressed.

Some families wanted more varied activities.
