Stradbroke Court

Stradbroke Court is a residential care home in an adapted building across five units, providing accommodation and personal care for up to 43 older people, including some living with dementia and mental health conditions. At the time of inspection, 18 people were living there. The CQC rated the home as requires improvement overall, an improvement on its previous inadequate rating.

Inspectors found a breach of regulation relating to good governance, with inconsistent staff practice, discrepancies in care records, and concerns during a fire alarm activation. There was no registered manager in place, though a new manager had recently started and relatives felt things were improving. Improvements were noted in staffing levels, consent practices and support for independence.
