SignHealth Longley Road

SignHealth Longley Road is a specialist Deaf service offering long-term residential care for up to six Deaf adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities, or both. The CQC rated the home outstanding overall, finding exceptional, inclusive support that went beyond expectations, including training local professionals in Deaf culture awareness and advocating for people's rights. Safety, staffing and medicines management were all found to be good.

Inspectors found people were treated with kindness, dignity and respect, communicating clearly through British Sign Language. Families described life-changing improvements in confidence and wellbeing, and residents said they felt safe, valued and able to influence decisions about their own care.
