Sidney Avenue Lodge is a residential care home in Enfield, providing personal care to up to 8 people with learning disabilities, autism, dementia, mental health conditions and physical disabilities. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, a decline from its previous Good rating, after finding two breaches of regulation relating to safe care and treatment and governance, including outdated documentation and risk assessments.

Despite this, inspectors found staff kind and caring, with a good understanding of people's needs and routines. Residents spoke positively about the food, activities and family atmosphere, and relatives praised the strong relationships between staff and people living there. The provider has been asked for an action plan to address the shortfalls found.
