Saint John of God Hospitaller Services provides personal care for up to eight people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder. At the time of inspection, all eight places were occupied. The service had strong infection prevention and control systems in place, with the environment maintained to a high standard and frequent cleaning of frequently touched surfaces. Staff had received training in proper PPE use and hand washing, with the registered manager and deputy conducting weekly checks to ensure adequate supplies were always available. People and their relatives were supported to maintain contact through various technologies and visits in line with government guidance, while both residents and staff participated in regular testing programmes with appropriate vaccination status checks in place.
