About Royal Care Home

Royal Care Home is a residential care home in Lancashire, providing personal care for older people, including those living with dementia. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Royal Care Home is a residential care home providing personal care for up to 27 older people, including those living with dementia. The CQC found it requires improvement overall, with breaches of legal regulations in safe care, medicines management, infection control, staff recruitment and governance. Some concerns had also been raised at the previous inspection and had not been fully resolved.

Inspectors found people were treated with kindness, dignity and respect, and staff responded promptly to their needs. However, staff felt unsupported and treated unequally, governance was poor, and there was no clear culture of continuous improvement across the service.
