Rowland House

Rowland House is a residential care home providing personal care and accommodation to people with learning disabilities. At the time of inspection, one person was living there, though the service can support up to six. Relatives reported that their family member was kept safe, and staff demonstrated a clear understanding of safeguarding procedures, with confidence that any concerns would be taken seriously by management.

Medicine administration followed safe procedures, and staffing levels were sufficient to meet residents' care and support needs.

The provider maintains effective recruitment practices to ensure staff have appropriate skills and suitable backgrounds. All staff receive comprehensive induction and relevant training for their roles, with ongoing support in their positions. Staff understand the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and support people to have maximum choice and control over their lives, working in the least restrictive way possible while acting in residents' best interests.
