Ridgegate Home

Ridgegate Home provides personal care and accommodation for up to 25 people, including those living with dementia. The CQC found the service requires improvement, identifying poor medicines practices, weak record-keeping around accidents and incidents, and shortfalls in governance. Care plans lacked detail, and staff were not always following Mental Capacity Act principles, with unclear evidence of capacity assessments.

Despite this, inspectors found people received kind, attentive care and appropriate nutrition, with staff working well alongside external healthcare professionals. Staffing levels and recruitment processes were sound, and the environment was clean and well maintained. Residents spoke positively about staff relationships, though some felt activities could be improved.
