Quenby Rest Home

Quenby Rest Home provides personal care to 23 people aged 65 and over, some living with dementia, across two floors in one adapted building. The home had a homely, caring environment that promoted a positive and inclusive culture. Everyone spoken with described it as 'family' or 'home from home', with staff treating people with kindness and compassion and developing positive relationships with them.

Systems and processes were in place to keep people safe, with staff demonstrating good knowledge of how to protect people from potential abuse and promote their rights. Staff supported people to have maximum choice and control of their lives, supporting them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests, with policies and systems in the service supporting this practice.
