People in Action - Milverton Terrace

Milverton Terrace is an assessment centre providing short-term accommodation and personal care for up to eight younger adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, or sensory impairments. The service helps residents develop skills to live independently before moving to permanent homes. At the time of inspection, six people were living there.

Staff provide planned, person-centred support that is inclusive and helps residents gain new skills and become more independent. There are enough suitably skilled and experienced staff to meet people's needs and keep them safe, with access to information that minimizes risks while encouraging residents to live as they wish. Staff know how to respond to concerns about people's health or wellbeing, and residents are supported to access healthcare professionals. The service works closely with other agencies to ensure smooth transitions between services, and people receive their medicines as prescribed.
