OSJCT Longlands

OSJCT Longlands accommodates up to 48 older people, including those living with dementia, providing residential care and personal support in one adapted building. At inspection, 45 people were using the service.

There were significant concerns about safety management. Not all known risks had been assessed or had mitigating strategies in place to protect people from harm. Staff had not always received appropriate training to understand people's health conditions, and people faced increased risks of skin pressure damage and complications from existing health conditions. Medicine management required improvement to ensure people received their prescribed medications correctly.

Care plans and risk assessments were not consistently kept up to date or accurate, with conflicting information identified during the inspection.
