Northlands Village Rest Home

Northlands Village Rest Home accommodates up to 16 older people in a large adapted domestic-style property with single bedrooms, some with ensuite facilities. At the time of inspection, 15 residents were living there. The home has established effective infection prevention and control procedures that staff understand and follow.

The registered manager implemented screening for visitors including health and temperature checks, provision of personal protective equipment, and COVID-19 testing. New admissions follow guidance requiring negative test results and self-isolation for up to 14 days, with careful monitoring of health and wellbeing throughout. The home maintains plentiful PPE supplies and displays reinforcing posters throughout.

Staff received training in infection control practices and were observed using PPE appropriately.
