About Nether Place Nursing Home
Nether Place Nursing Home is in Cumberland, offering personal care and nursing support for older people. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.
Nether Place Nursing Home provides personal care and accommodation for up to 26 older people, including those with nursing needs, physical disabilities or dementia. The CQC found the service required improvement overall, though it was no longer in breach of regulations around safe care or staffing. A new breach was identified in good governance, as records relating to medicines, risk assessments and incident monitoring were not always accurate or complete.
Inspectors found staff to be kind, attentive and well trained, with people describing feeling safe and well cared for. Food and family involvement were praised, though activity provision was limited and some relatives were unclear who was managing the home. Management responded quickly to concerns raised but oversight systems had not always caught these issues themselves.
