Meadows

Meadows provides care for seven people with learning, physical and sensory disabilities, including those who are deaf or hearing impaired and use British Sign Language to communicate. There is also a supported living flat for one person adjacent to the service. People at the home achieve good outcomes and maintain good relationships with staff who support them. The service experienced management changes, with the registered manager leaving in 2018 and the home being run by two directors, one of whom subsequently applied to become registered manager. Despite this unsettled period, a committed and settled staff team helped minimise disruption and the provider focused on improving communication and management culture.

Following concerns about potential financial abuse, the provider responded swiftly and effectively, though earlier safeguarding measures had not been in place to identify risks promptly. The provider has since strengthened audits and checks to improve oversight of the service and better protect people living there.
