Machlo

Machlo supports three people with learning disabilities in one adapted building. The service has made arrangements for visitors to meet relatives in a suitable room at an unoccupied care home owned by the provider, and supports people to keep in touch through electronic means when visits cannot take place. Staff have received guidance and training on working safely, including specific instruction on the use of personal protective equipment, with their knowledge regularly checked by the provider. When staff tested positive, a plan was put in place to ensure the service responded appropriately to keep people safe. Staff reported feeling supported by the provider and registered manager during challenging circumstances.
