About James Dixon Court

James Dixon Court is a residential care home in Sefton, offering accommodation for older people, including transitional and intermediate beds to support hospital discharge. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

James Dixon Court is a residential care home in Netherton providing accommodation for up to 30 people, including those in transitional, intermediate and enabling unit beds to support hospital discharge. The CQC rated the home Good overall, following concerns raised about care standards. Inspectors found staff were kind, approachable and responsive, and people and relatives spoke highly of the care and food provided.

However, medicines were not always managed safely, with incorrect counts and returns not consistently made to the pharmacy. Some care plans lacked personalisation, and parts of the building needed refurbishment, though a plan was already underway. The provider responded promptly to the issues raised during the assessment.
