Heanton Nursing Home

Heanton Nursing Home provides accommodation with care and nursing support for up to 52 older people. A separate five-bedded wing with its own entrance has been established to keep people safe, with clear plans and policies in place. The wing features dedicated infrastructure designed to support infection control procedures, including a purpose-built area for personal protective equipment use and hand washing. Staff assigned to the wing can arrive at work, complete donning and doffing procedures, and access the unit via key code without needing to enter the main premises. The service has sourced a separate team dedicated solely to working within this wing.
