Gencare Care Home

Gencare is a newly built residential care home providing accommodation for up to five people with physical disabilities and sensory impairments. At the time of inspection, three people were receiving care. The home had experienced frequent changes of registered managers over the previous 12 months, resulting in a lack of internal management oversight. Inspectors were not confident the management arrangements were appropriate, noting that people did not benefit from consistent leadership. The provider arrangement with external consulting company oversight was considered insufficient to ensure adequate internal governance and accountability within the home.
