Francis House

Francis House provides personal care for up to eight older people with mental health needs in a single-level, accessible building with individual bedrooms, some en-suite facilities, and communal spaces including lounge, dining and kitchen areas. The service effectively manages risks to people's safety through robust assessment and management procedures. Medicines are safely administered, and the provider maintains strong infection prevention and control standards, including for COVID-19. Environmental and equipment safety is ensured through regular checks.

Staff support people to have maximum choice and control over their lives, using the least restrictive approach possible while acting in their best interests. The registered manager and staff understand their roles and responsibilities clearly, and the service operates effective governance arrangements to maintain quality and safety of care. Safeguarding measures, emergency planning and staffing levels are in place to protect people against harm and abuse.
