Forest Hill

Forest Hill provides personal and nursing care for up to 55 people across two units. The Portland Suite downstairs serves adults with mental health needs, while Memory Lane upstairs cares for older people living with dementia. At inspection, 53 people were living at the service.

Inspectors found significant concerns about safety and care quality. People were not always protected from the risk of abuse, and relatives expressed mixed views about whether their family members were safe. Staffing levels were sometimes insufficient to meet people's needs safely, and staff did not consistently support people to have maximum choice and control of their lives in the least restrictive way. Areas of the building were not clean or well maintained due to insufficient domestic staff. Additionally, people did not always receive their prescribed medicines at the correct times.
