Estuary House

Estuary House provides accommodation and personal care for up to 41 people across three separate units. At inspection, 33 people were living at the home. Everyone spoken with felt safe, with incidents and accidents appropriately recorded and analysed for patterns. Staff numbers were sufficient to keep people safe, with call bells answered promptly. Staff could clearly explain safeguarding procedures and describe actions they would take if harm was suspected. Environmental safety checks were robust and risks to people's health and wellbeing were regularly assessed and reviewed.

The home supported people to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff working in the least restrictive way possible and in people's best interests. Staff recruitment was conducted safely, medicines were appropriately managed, and staff received appropriate training and supervision to carry out their roles effectively.
