Elmfield House

Elmfield House provides personal care to 17 people aged 65 and over, many of whom have physical and mental health conditions, including dementia. Residents and relatives described the home as safe, comfortable and homely, with people actively involved in decisions about their care. Staff demonstrated good knowledge of residents' needs and backgrounds, with care plans in place to manage risks and promote wellbeing. The service maintains effective partnerships with healthcare professionals and manages medicines safely.

Residents praised the quality of food and the range of activities and events available. Staff receive appropriate training and feel well-supported in their roles, with positive feedback about the home's leadership from residents, relatives and employees. The team is caring and attentive to what matters to individuals. The service has robust systems for learning from incidents and complaints, and regularly involves residents, families and stakeholders in improving the service.
