Elm House Nursing Home

Elm House Nursing Home is a residential care home supporting up to 32 older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 31 people were using the service. The home is a large, adapted house with four floors and lift access throughout. It features communal areas including a lounge and dining room on the ground floor, as well as a private enclosed rear garden for residents to access.

The inspection identified concerns regarding the safety of the environment. Fire safety and window restrictor checks were overdue for completion. Systems to analyse risks and identify trends or patterns in safety issues required attention to ensure the home maintained adequate safeguarding standards.
