Eachstep Blackley

Eachstep Blackley provides personal and nursing care for up to 60 people living with dementia across five households on three floors. The home has two nursing households and three residential households, each accommodating up to 12 people. Each household includes a kitchen, dining and lounge area, and all bedrooms feature en-suite showers with adapted bathing facilities available on each floor. At the time of inspection, 58 people were living at the home.

Staff availability presented mixed findings. While people spoken with felt enough staff were present, observations and staff feedback indicated staffing levels provided little flexibility. The service was addressing issues related to medicine stock supplies with the supplying pharmacist, and had arranged additional training on new electronic systems for staff.
