Clitheroe Care Home

Clitheroe Care Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 28 older people, including those living with dementia, physical disabilities or sensory impairments. At the time of assessment, 25 people were living at the home. The CQC rated the service Good overall, noting significant improvements since the last inspection, when it was in breach of several regulations relating to safeguarding, safe care and governance.

Inspectors found stronger safeguarding, risk management and medicines systems, along with more detailed, person-centred care plans. Staff were described as kind and attentive, and leadership was found to be positive and improving. However, some people's social and religious needs were not always met, and feedback on weekend staffing and activities was mixed.
