Cedar Court Nursing Home (Dementia Unit)

Cedar Court Nursing Home provides nursing and personal care for up to 45 people living with dementia across 2 floors. At inspection, 37 residents were living at the home, which is located in a rural setting with enclosed accessible gardens and several communal lounges. Staff were observed monitoring and addressing areas of risk for residents throughout the inspection.

However, risks relating to skin integrity and malnutrition were not consistently recorded in people's care records. The home manager agreed an action plan to address these shortfalls promptly. The service was recommended to make improvements to ensure these risks are properly documented in relevant care records.
