Care Home for Special Needs

Care Home for Special Needs provides accommodation and personal care for up to four people with special needs, with two people living there at the time of assessment. The CQC found the home requires improvement overall, remaining in breach of regulations on good governance despite some progress since the last inspection. Concerns included oversight of care records, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards paperwork, staff recruitment checks and management of environmental risks.

People living at the home and their relatives spoke positively about the care provided, describing staff who knew them well and treated them as individuals. People said they felt safe, involved in decisions about their care, and confident that complaints would be listened to and acted upon. Inspectors found staff respected people's privacy, dignity and choices.
