Buckingham House

Buckingham House, in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, provides personal and nursing care for up to 53 people, including older people and those living with dementia. At the time of the assessment 48 people lived at the home. The assessment followed concerns raised about the service, and the CQC rated it Good overall.

Inspectors found safe, person-centred care with risks identified and managed, and a kind, friendly culture among staff. The provider had been working with the local authority on an improvement plan, and the registered manager's return had helped consolidate progress. People and relatives spoke warmly of the atmosphere, describing staff as attentive, caring and approachable.
