Bromford Lane Care Centre

Bromford Lane Care Centre is a care home in a purpose-built building, providing nursing and personal care for up to 116 people, including those living with dementia, mental health needs, physical disability and older age. It also runs Emergency Assessment Beds supporting people discharged from hospital with complex needs. The CQC rated the service inadequate and placed it in special measures, finding it had deteriorated since the last inspection.

Inspectors found ongoing breaches around dignity, consent, safe care and governance, plus new failings in person-centred care, complaints handling, staffing and staff recruitment checks. Some relatives spoke positively about staff, but communication, complaint handling and premises maintenance all fell short of expected standards.
