Blaydon Lodge

Blaydon Lodge provides short-term respite care for a maximum of two service users at any one time. The registered manager has implemented comprehensive COVID-19 risk assessments and mitigation strategies, alongside enhanced quality assurance systems to monitor infection prevention and control measures. Staff are knowledgeable about government guidance and health protocols, with visiting professionals required to provide negative lateral flow test results and vaccination evidence before entering the premises.

The service supports people to access the local community and enables relatives to visit during respite stays. Staff have received additional pandemic training on correct PPE usage and infection prevention, with appropriate protective equipment readily available throughout the home. The registered manager maintains effective monitoring systems to ensure the service follows government guidance and the provider's own policies.
