About Blatchington Manor

Blatchington Manor is a residential care home in East Sussex, providing personal care and support to older people. Details of the most recent CQC assessment are set out below.

Blatchington Manor is a care home providing personal care and support to older people. The CQC carried out this assessment after concerns were raised about falls management and general care. Inspectors found some previous gaps in managing falls risks, but the home had worked closely with external agencies to address this quickly, with robust care plans in place and staff who knew people well.

Overall, the service was rated Good. People and relatives said staff were kind and caring, and people felt safe and able to raise concerns. Feedback on staffing levels was mixed, and some documentation needed improving, though management were receptive and already making changes.
