Avon Valley Care Home

Avon Valley provides accommodation and personal care for up to 78 people, with 68 residents living there at the time of inspection. The home has made significant improvements to infection control measures, with staff now wearing face masks appropriately in line with current guidance. The registered manager implemented retraining for all staff on safe mask-wearing practices and introduced spot checks to monitor compliance with personal protective equipment procedures.

People reported feeling safe at the home. Staff have received safeguarding training and understand their responsibility to protect residents from harm and abuse. The systems for monitoring practice have been strengthened to identify and address any shortfalls.
