About Ashgale House

Ashgale House is a residential care home in Harrow, offering accommodation and personal care for adults with learning disabilities. The findings below set out the CQC's most recent assessment of the service.

Ashgale House provides accommodation and personal care for up to 14 people with learning disabilities, some of whom have autism and additional physical disabilities. At inspection, six people were living there across two floors. The home maintained strong infection prevention and control practices, with all staff trained in IPC procedures and the use of personal protective equipment.

Management regularly monitored staff compliance and addressed any shortfalls. Personalised COVID-19 risk assessments had been completed for vulnerable people and staff, with strategies in place to reduce infection risks. The home maintained adequate supplies of PPE including masks, gloves and aprons, and inspectors observed staff using protective equipment effectively to safeguard residents, colleagues and visitors.
