Arbory Residential Home

Arbory Residential Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 60 people across two linked buildings, and was caring for 42 people at the time of assessment. The CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall, following up on previous breaches. Improvements were found in safeguarding and staff recruitment checks, but medicines were not always managed safely and governance systems remained weak, with identified issues not always acted on.

People and relatives spoke positively about the caring, attentive staff, food and activities, though many felt staffing levels could be higher. The home was clean, well maintained, and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere with good access for visitors and outdoor space. Morale had improved under new management, though further work was needed to ensure care plans were consistently followed.
